The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies is a knowledge-based qualification which will provide you with a sound foundation to pursue a career as a complementary therapist.
This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the organisation of the body, and the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails.
You will also learn about the structure, function and pathologies of the human body systems including, the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary and reproductive system.
Theory elements are covered online in your own home, in your own time and at your own pace via self-study using our Virtual Learning Environment. The theory elements are perfectly suited to online delivery therefore they can be delivered and learning assessed online. You will be fully supported by your course tutor whose role it is to help and guide you through the process from beginning to end. Both your tutor and assessor will ensure that you not only reach your goals but also maintain industry and awarding body standards.
This qualification is assessed by a two multiple choice exam papers which will be invigilated at our centre.
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification. It is recommended that you have a level of general education comparable to GCSEs and be committed to fulfilling the Theory Elements. You must meet the required Guided Learning Hours (GLH) by working through the Theory Elements online and attending our centre for assessment.
This qualification can be completed in a minimum of 4 months, however, on average it takes 6 months to complete the theoretical elements. VTCT completion criteria allows a maximum of 2 years from registration.
The course fees for this qualification are £395 (inclusive of VAT) which includes lifetime access to course materials, VTCT registration, assessment and exam fees and Portfolio of Evidence marking. This qualification is assessed by a two multiple choice exam papers which will be invigilated at our centre. The pass mark for each two hour paper is 70%. Paper 1 includes six systems of the body and paper 2 includes the other 6 systems. Pathology is not covered on these exam papers.
